Million dollar short-form video tip of the day: If your viewer watches your short twice (or even 1.5x), You’ll get a retention rate of over 100% Leading to an algorithm boost and a chance at virality. Simple, yet effective (and even a little sneaky). To do this, loop your shorts. Record the end and beginning so that they transition seamlessly. A small cost of time for high chance of virality.
Discovered this last month when virtually everyone was focusing on shorts, it's absolutely crazy I tell yoi
Looping a video can be tricky, but an easy way to loop your short is to ask a question at the end and answer it at the beginning. Example: Start: "A good way to increase your rate of retention is to loop your videos..." End: "So how do you get a higher retention rate?"
Everyone loves a good loop. Incredibly addictive to watch.
This is one of the best tips for short-form. I notice when I watch shorts how easy it is to stick around and watch a second time when it's an automatic loop. For a few seconds, you don't even realize the loop, and by the time you do, you're already invested in watching it again.
It surely works have seen this trend on reels so much and you definitely end up watching at least 1.5x times by default.
Can one technically also loop some if the content inside a video? What's the watch count then?
Great tip! 🙌 Looping short-form videos is definitely a clever strategy to increase retention rates and potentially go viral. Gotta love those algorithm boosts! 😎
When you hit that loop right it works well.
